Congratulations to Dr. Charles Hughes
November 19, 2013
Congratulations for two awards to Dr. Charles Hughes: First, at the college Industrial Advisory Board dinner Friday, November 15, Dr. Hughes won the “CECS Advisory Board Award for Faculty Excellence.” This award, which only goes to one professor annually, recognizes his outstanding contributions in research, teaching, and service. Quoting from his nomination: “Dr. Hughes is a model professor, due to the extent to which he cares for students, his commitment to his department and his university, and due to the impact that his research has had and is having. He embodies all the best qualities we look for in a professor, especially in terms of mentoring, partnership, and research impact.” Second, we just heard that TeachLivE – University of Central Florida has been chosen to receive one of the 2013 NTSA Modeling & Simulation Awards – in the Training category. UCF TeachLivE is one of six NTSA award winners this year, and is therefore also a finalist for the 2013 Governor’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Modeling & Simulation.
