Work of our own Dr. Marshall Tappen on computer vision algorithms to “accurately track the nesting routes of endangered sea turtles,” is described in an article in UCF Today. This is a grant from the Florida Space Institute that is joint with “UCF Biologist John Weishampel and UF engineering professor Peter G. Ifju.” See http://today.ucf.edu/eradicating-space-dust-and-saving-sea-turtles-get-boost-from-space-agency/
