Congratulations to TeachLivE for its recognition from the Orlando Sentinel and US News and World Report’s issue on Best Graduate Schools.

The UCF Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition Team has won 1st Place for the second consecutive year in the 2014 Southeast Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition held at Kennesaw State University on March 31 – April 2.

Congratulations to the UCF Programming Team for finishing 2nd (out of 21 universities) in the North American Invitational Programming Contest (NAIPC).

Congratulations to Haroon Idrees, Nolan Warner, and Mubarak Shah for having their paper “Tracking in dense crowds using prominence and neighborhood motion concurrence” (Image and Vision Computing, volume 32 (2014), pp. 14-26) featured as a selected paper this week on the main SIGGRAPH website’s front page (http://www.siggraph.org/). This website attracts about 50,000 visitors per month.

Congratulations to Dr. Kien Hua for receiving $40,000.00 in new funding from NASA Kennedy Space Center for a project titled “A Live Video Computing Framework for smart Space Launch Management Systems”.

Congratulations to Dr. Haiyan (Nancy) Hu for receiving $134,577 in additional funding on her NSF project titled: “CAREER: A Computational Framework to Study Epigenetic Regulation”.

The CCDC Team competed in the virtual qualification round of the Southeast Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition this past Saturday.

Congratulations to Dr. Damian Dechev for receiving an in-house award of $7500 for a project titled “MX-Boost: An Infrastructure for Exascale Performance Analysis and Optimization”.
