Congratulations to UCF’s Collegiate Cyber Defense Team and Dr. Tom Nedorost, team coach, for winning the Department of Energy CyberForce Competition on Saturday, December 2, 2018.

Members of the UCF Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition Team finished in 1st Place at the LockDown! V5 competition on Saturday, November 17th at the University of Buffalo.

UCF finished in 3rd Place at the National Collegiate Penetration Testing competition on Sunday, November 4th at Rochester Institute of Technology.

UCF’s 36-year-old record of “top three in the southeast” continued for another year, thanks to our excellent team members.

A team of UCF students won the Raymond James Capture-the-Flag Competition on Saturday, October 27th at Raymond James corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL.

On October 11, 2018, UCF had 19 members of the Hack@UCF club compete in the Duel Factor CTF Competition at Florida Cyber Con at the Tampa Convention Center.

UCF won the Eastern Region Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition on Sunday, October 7th hosted by Penn State University.

Two teams of UCF students finished 1st and 2nd Place in the inaugural A-ISAC Collegiate Cyber Challenge hosted at the Aviation ISAC Annual Summit on Wednesday, September 19th at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL.

UCF Today has an article about Dr. Sumit Jha, associate professor of Computer Science, who received a $1 million National Science Foundation grant to make computer chips that can process big data in record time without overheating.
