November 19, 2018
UCF finished in 3rd Place at the National Collegiate Penetration Testing competition on Sunday, November 4th at Rochester Institute of Technology. The Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC), sponsored by IBM, provides an opportunity for student teams to build and hone the skills required to effectively discover, triage, and mitigate critical security vulnerabilities. The competition focuses on improving the security posture of a fictitious organization and reporting on risks in a manner similar to a real professional consulting engagement. Stanford finished in 1st Place and Cal State Fullerton finished in 2nd Place.
