UCF’s All-Female Cyber Team Advances in Wicked6 Competition

A UCF team consisting of CS undergraduates Sara Aladham, Lauryn Landkrohn, Sydney Munro, and a graduate student in the MS in Digital Forensics program, Jensly Francisco, along with two alternates (both CS undergraduates) Natalie Larkin and Jacqueline Van Der Meulen has qualified as a finalist in the Wicked6CyberGames; the UCF team was chosen as one of the 6 finalists from 21 teams. The finals will be held on August 8th in Las Vegas. The contest is sponsored by the Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu and is billed as “a unique cybersecurity exhibition and fundraiser”. “The Wicked6 Cyber Games are designed to simulate industry-specific cyber-attack scenarios.
