Course Staff
The instructor for Com S 362, is professor Gary T. Leavens. The TA is Tongjie Chen. Please do not hesitate to ask either of us questions.
The fastest way to receive an answer to a question is to phone Gary Leavens, or to email both of us, by using cs362s@cs-DOT-iastate-DOT-edu (replace `-DOT-' by `.').
Due to the vast amounts of spam from networked email providers like hotmail, yahoo, etc., if you send email from one of these providers, we can't guarantee that we'll read it quickly or notice it (especially at the beginning of the semester). For fast responses, please send email directly from an Iowa State computer.
During the semester, we will hold weekly office hours at the times listed below, and by appointment. The office hours were scheduled to provide a variety of meeting times. Please let us know if none of these times work for you and we will consider revising the office hours schedule.
If you need to drop off an assignment or a note and we are busy or not in our offices you can leave it in the department office. The office staff there will note the current date and time and put it in Gary Leavens's mailbox.

Anonymous Suggestion Form
We welcome your suggestions on the course and how well (or poorly) we, the course staff, are serving you. You are welcome to make suggestions during or after class or to visit us during office hours or by appointment. You may also send us an email or call if you want to discuss something about the course in person.
If you would rather make an anonymous suggestion, you can leave a note in Gary Leavens's box, or use use the form below. Please use this to provide constructive criticism and offer suggestions for how we might improve the course. Please note that comments that offer specific suggestions for improvement or that provide concrete examples of problems will be more helpful than generalized complaints. But don't use this form for questions about homework problems; if you have a question send email to Gary Leavens and Tongjie Chen for a quick response.
