Dominic Berec
Dominic Berec is an undergraduate researcher in the ISUE Lab. He is pursuing a B.S. in Data Science with a minor in Computer Science at UCF, with an expected graduation in Fall 2028, after transferring from Florida SouthWestern State College and Lorenzo Walker Technical College.
In the lab, Dominic works on a DEVCOM-funded user study, where he contributes to protocol design, runs participant sessions, and handles data collection. He also assists PhD students with their human-computer interaction (HCI) research. He is CITI Human Subjects Research certified and serves as a site member on the study's IRB protocol. He aims to specialize in machine learning, with long-term research interests centered on medical data and brain-computer interface (BCI) neurotechnology.
